THE Crow has learned that former Buntingford Town player, Charlie Henry, will not be involved in Havant & Waterlooville's trip to Anfield tomorrow (Saturday).

Henry was thought to be involved in Havant's monumental FA Cup clash with Liverpool, however, after appearing for former club Dorchester Town in the second qualifying round the little striker is unfortunately cup tied.

The 20-year-old will now have to watch from the stand as his teammates try to stage one of the biggest FA Cup shock in the competition's 135-year history, and go as far as any non-league club has ever gone.

And Henry's former Buntingford Town coach, Steve Walker, believes it is a missed opportunity for the youngster who would have relished taking on the likes of Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres and Jamie Carragher.

Walker said: "I'm really disappointed for Charlie it would have been brilliant for him to have played at Anfield, and great for those who used to know him as well.

"It would have been an unbelievable day for him, and I think deep down he'll be devastated. He's never liked missing games - so I can imagine how gutted he is to be missing one as big as this.

"He is an exceptionally good finisher and scored a lot of goals for us, and as a confident young lad I think he would have fancied his chances of scoring on Saturday!
