THERFIELD Eagles plan to bring senior football to the village next season, as their under-16 team step up to men's soccer.

Following promotion for two consecutive seasons, culminating with a tough year in the top flight of the Cambridgshire Colts League under-16 section, ambitious new plans have been unveiled to take the club forward.

It is hoped that the current side along with three or four senior signings will compete in one of the adult Saturday leagues and the Cambridgeshire Colts League under-17 A Division on a Sunday.

The club will be looking to make further signings before the new season and would welcome any current under-16 players looking for the move up into senior football to contact Phil Rudkins on 07802 195518 to arrange attending training on Thursday evenings.

Eagles can boast a fine setting with two pitches and clubhouse facilities, and a friendly relaxed atmosphere where everyone can enjoy the beautiful game.

The club are likely to join the Hertford & District League Division Three.
