Under-16s Division One

AN exciting game, full of quality from both sides, ended in a narrow win for Baldock Templars against the league leaders.

The home team went ahead after 15 minutes when Henry Dann, who had headed a Knebworth chance off the line seconds before, drove a hard shot under the keeper at the other end, and from then on it was nip and tuck all the way.

A well-organised Knebworth side always threatened to equalise and were denied by the woodwork and by Adam Harpur in the Baldock goal.

Dann hit the bar in the second half and Knebworth's keeper Sam Wyer also made some fine saves, but Baldock's defence, ably marshalled by Lloyd Bowman, kept the visitors at bay.
