Great Chishill 2

GREAT Chishill left it late as they started their new season in Division 2A with a win.

Despite playing some decent early football, the visitors fell behind with Linton catching them napping with a well-worked free-kick.

But Chishill struck back almost immediately, as Elliot Drury's cross was turned into the net by a Linton defender.

Chishill began to dominate possession, and after the break Linton were firmly on the back foot as the visitors bombarded their defence with waves of attacks.

Elliot Drury tested the host keeper with a stinging free-kick, before rattling the bar with another fine effort.

And just as it looked like their dominance was going to count for nothing, with Steve McGee and Russell Drury both squandering chances, a last-minute Jonathan Drury cross picked out Gareth Edey for the winner.
