GREAT Chishill recorded their seventh straight win of the season, when they returned to league action against Abington on Saturday.

The home side took the lead inside five minutes when Jonathan Drury stabbed home from close range, after the keeper had dropped the ball to him from a corner.

Although Chishill controlled the game for most of the first half, they failed to extend their lead, with Drury and Luke Tyler both missing opportunities.

Tyler took his opportunity soon after the break however, when he was fouled in the box, and picked himself up to send the keeper the wrong way from the penalty spot.

Just when it looked like the hosts were comfortable, Abington pulled a goal back, their striker being first to the rebound after Ian Gallagher parried.

The visitors had little time to celebrate, as Gareth Edey went straight up the other end and made it 3-1, his cross-shot taking a big deflection into the top corner.

As Abington threw more players forward, they left themselves exposed, and Chishill frequently had space to exploit, as Peter Jackson's pace was catching the defence out on numerous occasions.

The game was not secured until Jackson lost control of the ball on the edge of the box.

The ball ran loose to Tyler who smashed his second goal into the top corner from 30 yards.

Youngster Tom Fagg was given his debut late on in the match, as Chishill took home a well-deserved three points.

Chishill: Gallagher; Burrows, Manning, Gardiner, Bramwell; Fitzgerald, E Drury, Tyler, Jackson; Edey, J Drury. Subs: Radford, Wilson, Fagg.
