Chishill got back to winning ways on Saturday, with a real smash-and-grab victory.
Games with Wilbraham are always tight and this was no different, but the visitors started brightly, looking for an early goal.
They opened the scoring when Jonathan Drury's shot was spilled by the keeper, and skipper Gareth Edey was on hand to bury the rebound.
The home team hit straight back at them and Chishill had to rely on some last ditch defending to keep them ahead.
They still continued to play some neat football at times, creating good openings, but rarely managing to test the keeper again. The visitors were then dealt a blow when leading scorer Steve McGee hobbled off before half-time with a torn muscle.
The second half was mostly played in Chrishill's half, as Wilbraham piled on the pressure.
The home team could count themselves unlucky, when Oli Gardener handled on the line, but the referee was unsighted.
Moments later they hit the crossbar with a powerful header, as the visitors continued to ride their luck.
However, Wilbraham always looked vulnerable when Chishill hit them on the break, with Peter Jackson's weaving runs always a danger, but too often the final ball was lacking.
The game could have been sealed when substitute Paul Gibson broke down the right and crossed, but Luke Tyler's low shot just went wide.
It made for a tense final few minutes, but Chishill held on to steal the win that keeps them in the race for promotion.
Chishill: Gallagher, R Drury, Gardiner, Manning, Bramwell, Tyler, E Drury, Edey, Fitzgerald, McGee, J Drury. Subs: Jackson, Gibson, Burrows.
