AN impressive fight back saw Royston Celtic A under-10s take a share of the points in their 3-3 draw with Hatfield Youth A.

The visitors took the lead after just five minutes, however, Lorcan George soon had Royston back on level terms following Richard Jonas' pin point free kick.

However, Hatfield scored two more either side of the break before Jonas turned goal scorer midway through the second half to reduce the arrears. Then after a long spell of possession Royston had a deserved equaliser when Matthew Foley swooped in on goal.

Royston Celtic B under-10s claimed all three points after they saw off Hatfield Youth B 2-0.

Royston piled on the pressure from the start and found themselves in front early on when a Hatfield defender found the back of his own net. The Colts continued to push forward although keeper Robbie Pontin was on call for two great saves.

Brandon Hargreaves wrapped things up in the second half with a brilliant individual strike.

It was goals galore for Royston Town Colts A under-10s as they whacked six past a helpless Hitchin Youth Arrows A.

Rhys Westbury put Royston in front at half time, following a Robbie Newman corner, before Bradley Calvert increased the lead after the re-start with a powerful finish.

Westbury then grabbed his second of the game before Justin Leavers added two more, one of which was a fine solo effort. George Bailey completed the rout late on with another well-taken strike.

There was also a win for Royston Town B under-10s who beat Hitchin Youth Arrows B 3-1.

Troy Mayo opened the scoring for Town, before Hitchin pulled one back a minute later. However, Royston took control in the second half with Jordan Howe slotting the ball through the keeper's legs.

Thomas McGee than powered a third past the Hitchin keeper, with John Kane unlucky not to have added a fourth.

Ryan Geraghty, Elliot Burr and Jacob Leighton all netted hat-tricks as Celtic Crusaders under-13s went on the rampage again with a devastating 14-1 victory over Hundon Hawks.

Geraghty opened the proceedings with a calm close range finish, before adding a second moments later with a fine strike form the edge of the box. Defender Tim O'Conner then grabbed Celtic's third, with Leighton and Burr making it 5-0 at half time.

Leighton started the second half in confident mood, grabbing two quick strikes, with Geraghty completing his hat-trick minutes later.

A fourth for Geraghty followed from another brilliant cross from Burr who also claimed a second, before O'Conner added his second of the day. Burr smashed home his third of the game following some good play by Leighton before Mitchell Wooding's brace completed the rout.

Melbourn Dynamos Tigers under-10s came unstuck against Letchworth Garden City Yellows 5-1.

But Melbourn made their oppenents work for their goals with player-of-the-match Rebecca Brooker, Dani Friel, Michael Bevan and Greg Cattley working hard.

The goal of the game also belonged to Melbourn when Will Thompson set up Jacob Rand for a sweet chipped finish.

There was also a defeat for Melbourn Dynamos Panthers under-nines with Sawbridgeworth Juniors A running out 4-2 winners.

And Melbourn soon went behind with their opponents quickly taking control and going into the interval with a 2-0 lead. However, Dynamos hit back in the second half with Luke Eades and Tommy Hollway taking the game to the Juniors.

Unfortunately, against the run of play Sawbridgeworth snatched a third with another well-taken effort. However, Melbourn didn't give up with player-of-the-match Hollway pulling one back with a cool finish.

And it looked like Melbourn might take something from the match when George Storey slotted home following a brilliant move, but as Dynamos went in search for an equaliser, their opponents hit them with a fourth.

There was a good win for Melbourn Dynamos Tigers under-nines however, as they saw off their Sawbridgeworth opponents 4-2.

Josh Bates started the game brightly and soon put Melbourn in front with a brilliant finish. Andrew Chitty and player-of-the-match Jessica Porter kept things tight at the back despite conceding two early second half goals after Bates had put his side 2-0 up.

In an exciting final 10 minutes, Melbourn took the initiative when Megan Jeray slipped a brilliant pass into the path of Matthew Harris to make it 3-2, before Austin made no doubt pouncing on a rebound to make it 4-2.

Ashwell Academicals under-nines claimed their third straight win with a 3-0 victory over Wymondley Park.

Tom Hudon, Thomas West and an own goal saw Ashwell home for another comfortable three points.

Despite a slow start Hormead Hares under-13s girls snatched a narrow win with Becky Turner scoring the only goal of the game against Haverhill Rovers.

Turner's confident strike 10 minutes before the break was all that was needed following some clever play from Tara Kewsick and Rebecca Scott, with Hormead progressing in to the League Cup Quarter Final.

There was also cup success for Hormead Hares under-14 boys with a thumping 5-2 victory over Wheathampstead.

The Hares dominated from the start with Louis Kugler opening the scoring early on. Bayo then hit a super left-footed strike to double the Hormead lead, before Sam Groves scrambled home a third.

Wheathamspstead scored two either side of half time, before Kugler and Bayo hammered home their second goals of the game.

Hormead Hares under-15s girls also impressed in the cup and have reached the Herts County Cup final after their 4-0 win over Watford Ladies.

In the performance of the season goals from Katie Jennings, Rachel Harris and a brace from Yasmin Patel put a strong Watford to the sword.

There was also a good win for Hormead Hares under-11s who saw off Bishop's Stortford with a fine 5-1 win.

First-half strikes from Alex Underwood and Rhodri Hughes set Hares on the road. Bryce Hagger added a third early in the second half before Underwood and Hughes completed proceedings with two more well-taken strikes.

Two goals Ben Hall set Buntingford Cougars Under-eight Whites on the way to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Knebworth Youth.

Matthew Inman and Haydn Roberts also found the target, while some excellent goalkeeping from Reece Knapp ensured that the Whites kept a clean sheet.

Cougars Under-eight Blues never recovered from going 2-0 down, and eventually lost their match at Knebworth 2-1. Jordan Moore's goal was not enough to inspire a fight back.

An even match between Buntingford Cougars Under-10 Stripes and Potton Colts ended 1-1. Although Cougars made a bright start, Potton came closest to opening the scoring in the first period when they struck the post.

In the second half Alfie Arnold gave Buntingford the lead, finishing off a Sam Rice pass, but Potton came back and got a deserved equaliser two minutes from time.

Buntingford Cougars Under-13s got the better of Bedwell Rangers, winning a tight encounter 3-2.

Despite not playing very well in the first half, Cougars opened the scoring through Darren Aldridge. Harry Clifford got the second and Aldridge netted the third from a Jonathan Bowell corner.

The same 3-2 scoreline saw Buntingford Cougars Under-15s beat Arsley Town Youth in the third round of the League Cup.

Striker Scott Piggott helped himself to a hatrick, scoring the first when he latched on to a Michael Holland knock down.

A couple of stunning saves from Mark Kenny preserved Cougars lead for much of the half, but before the break he was beaten by a great strike that found the top left hand corner.

Piggott restored Buntingford's advantage, but the scores were soon level again when Arsley profited from some slack defending.

The match then looked to be heading for a stalemate, before Piggott popped up again to settle matters and complete his treble.
