GREAT Chishill ended their season with an entertaining away defeat at Abington.

The visitors got off to a bad start, when defender Mark Burrows gave away a penalty.

But Burrows made amends when his free-kick was met by Jamie Dunsden, who headed in at the far post.

Chishill took a deserved lead, with Steve McGee beating the Abington keeper from 20 yards.

But it was short-lived, as Abington found the back of the net just before half time.

In the second half, Chishill made a number of changes, with goalkeeper Ian Gallagher moving up front, and going close with two long-range efforts.

But any hopes of a Chishill winner were dashed with just minutes on the clock, when Abington snatched a late goal.

Chishill squad: Gallagher, R Drury, Burrows, Dunsden, Bramwell, Radford, Tyler, E Drury, Fitzgerald, McGee, J Drury, S Wilson, C Wilson, Gibson.
