BUNTINGFORD are back on top of the Herts Senior County League after wiping out a two-goal deficit.

Town went behind after 16 minutes, when Jordan Miles' 25-yard rocket flew into the top corner.

Paul Attfield's side shipped another, when a long hopeful free kick eluded the Town defence with Miles again on hand.

Ricky Young gave Town the perfect reply, heading home after some good work by Gary Christie.

Will Turl and David Cain both went close before Tom Malins nabbed his 14th goal of the season just before half time, from the spot after Young was barged over in the box.

Knebworth's Lamacraft went close with Damion Williamson making the save of the game.

But Turl put Town ahead after 59 minutes, and Young made it four in the 80th minute.

Malins completed the scoring when his overhead kick was deflected in.

Attfield said: "We got punished for two bad mistakes but we showed good character to turn the game around and in the end we could have won by a few more."

Buntingford Town: Williamson; Endacott, Easley (Robins), Cain, J Babbage; Smith, Young, Turl, M Babbage (Chaffey); Malins, Christie (De Lacy).
