PAUL Attfield is confident his team can take all three points from their away match against Tokyngton Manor this Saturday.

Royston Town go into the game having drawn 2-2 at home to London Colney on Saturday but they remain top of the South Midlands League.

They lead Kings Langley by three points and they still have a game in hand on their nearest rivals.

Despite his team's superb start to the season, Attfield said neither he nor his players are getting carried away with their current league position.

The Crows boss said: "I don't regard the Tokyngton Manor game as a case of bouncing back at all. I was very pleased with our overall performance against London Colney.

"At Tokyngton I will be just looking for our consistent play to continue and if it does I am confident that will give us every opportunity of getting full points.

"The players are not getting carried away with their league position. They really are very focused and determined.

"As they say, 'the league table never lies', and we are top because we deserve to be there. Whether we stay there or not only time will tell."

Whatever the result on Saturday, Royston will remain at the top of the league for their next league game which is against fellow promotion contenders Kings Langley, and that top-of-the-table crunch match will take place at Garden Walk on December 13 and will go someway towards showing which team is best equipped for promotion this season.

Between the Tokyngton and Kings Langley games, Royston travel to Cheshunt in the South Midlands Senior Floodlit Cup on December 10.
