MATT Fellingham and John Matthews won the Men’s Doubles Championship at Royston Tennis Club on Saturday.
They beat Sam Tobiss and Richard Fosbeary to take the Silver Tankards in what was a close contest. The runners-up took the first set 7-5 before Fellingham and Matthews won the second and final set 7-5 and 6-2 respectively.
The win adds to what has been a successful month for Fellingham, who won the 2011 Men’s Singles title a fortnight ago.
Meanwhile the Cambridgeshire LTA Winter Season gets underway this Friday (September 30). The Ladies’ first team will travel to face Great Shelford while the Ladies’ IIs, Men’s IIs and IIIs are all in action the following day.
