ROYSTON featherweight boxer Brad Evans has continued his good form after reaching the quarter finals of the Senior ABA Boxing Championships.

Talented Evans saw off Eastern Counties champion Joe Taylor of Brentwood on Saturday, to set up a thrilling quarter-final match with the Combined Services Champion Corporal James Allen.

In a pulsating pre-quarter final in Harlow, Evans, who represents Stevenage ABC, had to work hard throughout, in an entertaining four rounds.

The action was toe-to-toe, with both Evans and Taylor slamming in powerful hooks to the body.

But it was the cleaner- punching Evans who came out on top, with a unanimous decision taking him through to Friday's quarter-final in Sheffield.

Evans' coach Dave Blows said: "Reaching this stage of the Senior ABAs in his first attempt is a massive achievement for Bradley.
