Kate Bradshaw has been called up by the England Women’s over-35s squash team for the upcoming Home Internationals series.
The Melbourn Squash Club player will be part of the team which takes on Scotland, Ireland and Wales on May 5 and 6 in Nottingham.
Bradshaw said: “I’m hugely excited to be playing for England again - the team’s had an unbeaten track record in recent years so there’s a lot of pressure to keep hold of the Home Internationals cup.”
In Cambridgeshire League play, Melbourn 1sts will go into their final match against Cambridge 1sts needing to win and hoping for another result to go their way if they are to avoid relegation from Division One after a 15-9 loss at Hunts County 1sts.
The 2nds broke a nine-match losing streak to end their campaign on a high note as they beat St Neots 2nds 16-11.
