Royston Golf Club’s Emily Smith was this week awarded her club colours by ladies’ captain Kath Caunce.
The 15-year-old has represented the club in three county matches this year, is a member of the junior England squad and has also played for the county second team.
Elsewhere, the December medal was won by Steve Marsh who returned a net five under par (65), beating Thomas Cross by one shot. Both Keith Cridland and Richard Trigg came in with 67.
The Seniors Friday Winter League saw Ken Ayer victorious with 37 points, narrowly beating Derek Hayden who scored 36.
In the Combined Bogey competition, Bridget Long took the silver medal beating Jenny Jarvis on count back, both posting -3. The bronze medal winner was Helen Steverson who beat Claire Beaumont on count back.
