MELBOURN Dynamos' football development officer hopes the club's top coaching will encourage new players for next season.

The club who play in the Royston Crow League are looking for under 8s and under-12 players.

Gordon Stalker said: "We welcome players of all abilities to our teams, but we are particularly looking for players in the under 8s and 12s, who are of that age between September 2007 and August 2008."

Melbourn Dynamos were set up four years ago to give youngsters in Melbourn, Meldreth, and Bassingbourn the chance to play for a club in the area.

When Melbourn Dynamos started they had only 10 players.

Now they have more than 100 registered with the club.

Gordon said: "The club really has gone from strength to strength and I feel a lot of that is down to our excellent weekly coaching sessions that are carried out by our FA qualified coaches - we even have our own goal-keeping coach.

"The players are also given the chance to play in a lot of different tournaments which give them a lot of exposure.

"We've already had a number of players go on to different academies, which shows how good the club's coaching is. They get a lot of support and learn a lot, but above all they enjoy their football."
