Melbourn Dynamos U11s 2 Shephall Hurricanes U11s 5
Melbourn Dynamos U11s lost 5-2 at home to Shephall Hurricanes.
Melbourn came out strongly and dominated the early part of the match and took an early lead. But this was an anxious game for both sets of spectators as the teams took turns to pile on the pressure, with Shephall drawing level soon after.
Sam Collis and Ben Greneway provided a number of crucial clearances down the middle before Melbourn took the lead for a second time before Shephall again drew level.
But, under pressure for much of the second half, Melbourn conceded several corners, allowing Shephall to reveal their astonishing trump card in the shape of their outstanding corner taker. These corners, delivered with power and pinpoint accuracy, wreaked havoc and led to four out of the five Shephall goals but this was a decent performance from Melbourn overall.
