TWO Bassingbourn Village College pupils won medals at the Eastern Regional Championships at Norwich.
Thirteen-year-old Alex Raine won bronze in the 400 freestyle and picked up a gold and silver in the relay races.
Bassingbourn's Ellie Mason, 13, also collected a relay silver.
Raine was also a member of a four- strong Mid Beds team which won the boys 200 freestyle relay and came second in the boys 100 metre freestyle relay.
Mason was in the Mid Beds team which came second in the girls' 100 metre freestyle relay.
Raine has already booked a spot in the national championships in Sheffield later this summer, with Mason hoping to join him.
Both impressed at the Bedfordshire county championships earlier this year, where they were joined by a third Bassingbourn pupil, 12-year-old Millie Farmer.
