Arlesey 4 Bishop's Stortford Blues 2
Under-11s Division Two
This was a great game of end to end football fought between two attacking teams.
Arlesey were the bigger team physically and used this advantage to hold the ball up well but the Blues’ pace as usual got them into many scoring opportunities.
The match could have ended 10-10 there were so many opportunities but Arlesey just managed to convert the extra two goals with Jack Jones saving well from the penalty spot.
Luke Cooper had a great first half in midfield and the defence as a whole did well to keep the score at 2-1 to Arlesey at half time with the Blues goal coming from Robert Stephens to make it two in two for him.
The Blues finished strongly in a great final 10 minutes with some good chances being created and James Abbeglyn scoring near the end after a sustained attack.
This was a good spirited game and although the Blues lost they competed well and finished positively against a well organised Arlesey outfit.
