Two Greneway pupils are celebrating individual success.
Year 8 pupil Euan Rees, a Royston Rugby Club product, has been selected for the Hertfordshire/Saracens U13 Rugby Development squad.
After some outstanding performances in the NE and North Herts Schools’ U13 finals for Greneway, Rees was nominated by the school to attend a Saracens assessment session.
He impressed and has been invited to join the squad and train for the upcoming Inter-Counties championships.
The successes of the Royston Swimmers (Greneway and Royston Swimming Club) at the Herts Schools’ Championships and Herts Leagues has resulted in Evie Harrington, the North Herts Schools’ U13 butterfly champion and record holder, being selected for the North Herts Secondary Schools team in the Inter-District Championships.
The event took place in Watford on Friday. Evie won 50m butterfly gold in 33.21 seconds. Her swim helped the North Herts team to finish third overall.
