Cycle Club Ashwell riders braved snow and wind to take on the end of season team cyclo cross races at Mistley, Nr Colchester.

Flying high after some great final league positions, the CCA youth riders were again in top form with gold medals in both the U10 and U12 team events.

Not to be outperformed by their younger counterparts, the CCA vets finished in three of the top four places in the Madison race.

Final Results – U10: Joseph Hadsley 1st; Evan Foulkes 5th.

U12: Freddie Cooke 3rd; Archie Foulkes 4th; Sam Daniels 5th.

Vets: D Doncaster & Partner 2nd; David Hadsley & Partner 3rd; John Polak & Partner 4th; Pete Daniels & partner 11th.

n Meanwhile, the CCA held their awards evening last week.

Cameron Woolsey collected three trophies for his club record-breaking rides in time trial and superb road race results.

Jackie Field picked up two awards for her outstanding time trial and cyclo cross performances and this year’s Clubman was awarded to Robbie Laughton.
