CROWS manager Phil Snowden was disappointed with this result - believing three points were there for the taking.

Snowden said that the point his side picked up on Tuesday night was "just not good enough".

He said: "We went 2-0 up and we really should have taken the three points.

"We gave away a stupid penalty, and they snatched an equaliser in the last four minutes. But the points should have been wrapped up by then."

Royston took the lead after Pete Chappel's delightful through ball found the onrunning Stuart Snowden.

That goal was followed moments later with another fine strike, when debutant Bradley Poole found Jez McMurrough unmarked in the box.

But just when it looked like the home side would head into the break two up, goal hero McMurrough turned goal villain by giving away a sloppy penalty.

In the second-half and with the strong wind in their faces, Royston struggled to get the ball out of their half and were under the cosh.

And with minutes on the clock their luck finally ran out, when a Heath striker took advantage of the windy conditions to fire in an equaliser past the other Crows debutant, Ken Kamara.

Royston will be hoping for a change in the weather ahead of Saturday's fixture when they face fourth-placed Harefield United at Garden Walk, at 3pm.

Snowden added: "There were a lot of positives we can take from the game.

"We played some lovely football and looked dangerous.

"The new players slotted in nicely as well.

"We know they are a good side, and the last time we played them we did well.

"I'll be happy with a point - I'm more concerned about beating the teams around us.
