Royston Town Ladies lost 3-1 to unbeaten Premier Division champions Lowestoft Town in the League Cup final last Sunday.
The Crows found themselves 2-0 down after 30 minutes with two goals from set pieces. They worked hard and managed to pull a goal back just before half-time through top scorer Jo Rutherford.
Lowestoft turned up the heat at the start of the second half and grabbed a third, enough to ensure their cup triumph.
Royston will hope they can bounce back against Colney Heath in the League Plate final at Letchworth’s County Ground this Sunday (May 17). Kick-off is 2pm.
