ROYSTON boxer George Crotty had to fight twice in a week to progress to the national schoolboy quarter finals.
In a competition that George won last year, the Stevenage ABC boxer had to defeat a slough boxer in the home counties final last Monday in Luton before facing old foe Brad Jefferson of London's Five Star in the pre-quarter final at Oxford.
Jefferson was a very good opponent but Crotty always seemed to be first to the punch to take a close majority decision. George now faces eastern counties champ Jordan Gill of Chatteris.
