Royston Town Youth Colts U11s bowed out of the League Cup with a 5-2 defeat against Baldock Town Youth.
The Colts took an early lead with a goal from Michael Baulk. In a well contested first half there were few real chances on goal but Baldock managed to equalise just before the break. The second half saw Baldock step up the pressure and they scored early on, but this was also cancelled out following a fantastic free-kick goal from Keiran Blois.
Baldock converted a penalty to retake the lead and Royston’s efforts to get back in this game bore no fruit and their surges forward left them exposed at the end of the game and Baldock scored two more to take a deserved win.
