ROYSTON steamrollered Hitchin in impressive style with one of their best displays of the season.
Colts got the breakthrough after just 10 minutes, when Dominic Oxenford got on the end of a Richard Chapman pass.
Then in a devastating five- minute spell, the visitors grabbed two more, thanks to a Adam Green long-range effort and a powerful drive from Ricky Williams.
It was much of the same in the second half, with the returning Conor Barnard finding the net with yet another stylish strike.
Royston's fifth soon followed when Oxenford won a penalty, and defender Chris Wilkins grabbed his first goal for the club.

Minutes later Colts claimed another, when Barnard found Craig Lucken perfectly placed in the box. Barnard then turned goal-scorer, chipping the Hitchin keeper for his second of the game.
After setting up Royston's first, Chapman then wrapped the game up with his side's eighth, by meeting a Ryan Ingrey corner.
