EDDIE Collins shot the round of his life to win the Medal Winners final at Royston Golf Club on Sunday.
His remarkable nett 61, which was nine under his 11 handicap saw him finish two shots ahead of Mial Walker.
And Collins' outward nine of level par 36, was complemented by a two-over- par back nine, but he finished in style by holing out from 100 yards at the 18th for an eagle two which catapulted him to the top of the leader board.
Mark Smith continued his good form to take third place (74-9=65) with Andrew Greville-Smith finishing fourth (73-7=66).
The stableford competition run alongside the medal winners, was won by 14 handicapper, Simon Thompson with 41 points, but only on countback from Darren Dawson.
The ever-improving Martin Walker finished third.
The Ladies' October Medal was won by Carolyn Devaney with a nett 71, just ahead of Marjory Humphreys and Vice Captain Tina Collins.
Elsewhere, Roy Ward hosted his Seniors Captain's Day, with Peter Mitchell taking top spot with 42 points.
The consistent Doug Moule came second with 41, and Jim Hopkins took third with 40.
The Edenbridge Greensomes will be played on Sunday with a new car up for grabs for a hole-in-one at the sixth hole.
Barry Buckerfield managed a hole-in-one at the fifth hole last year, before seeing off Graham Toby to claim the trophy.
