Reigning champions Cokenach made it four wins in a row at the Bassingbourn seven-a-side competition.

The popular event was this year contested by Cokenach, Haslingfield, and two teams from Bassingbourn.

As ever the matches were closely fought, with 20/20 style music accompanying the fall of each wicket and adding to the atmosphere.

Cokenach faced Bassingbourn A in the final, with the hosts batting first and finishing on 102-2 after their allotted 10 overs.

Matt Andrews top-scored with 34 not out.

Cokenach lost an early wicket but recovered well, and despite a nervous finish, reached their target with two balls to spare.
