ROYSTON Tennis Club held their first tournament of the year on Sunday.
The annual Hunter McArthur trophy was contested by six doubles pairs. The competition was very close but Christine Knight and David Addison won all their five rounds and were presented with the trophy. Kathryn Betts and Andy Holmes finished as runners-up, picture, right.
The Royston Tigers (eight-nine-year-olds) were also in action for the first of their summer league matches. They came lost their two matches, away to Letchworth Lobbers, and at home to Buntingford Baseliners.
Despite the defeats Molly Pocock, Alice Clarke, Simon Cooper, Jack Lester, and Joshua Thurlby all impressed.
