Heydon Grange Golf Club round-up
IN superb October weather, the Men and Lady golfers of Heydon Grange Golf Club battled it out for their final competitions of the Summer Season.
For the men, the Medal and Trophy Winners event was held over the 18 holes of the Essex and Cambs courses in stroke play format off full handicap. The winner with a net score of 69 was Trevor Clifton from runner-up Tony Leigh with a net 71.
The Ladies Medal and Trophy Winners competition was also held over 18 holes using the same format. Three golfers all scored a net 71, with Amanda Flowers taking the honours on count back, with Sally Harris in second and Gloria Carse third.
The If Only trophy for ladies not qualifying for the Medal and Trophy Winners event was played in Stableford format and was won by Lesley Lester.
