KIEREN Clark emerged unscathed after a 100mph crash at Snetterton on Saturday.

After qualifying in pole position, but during the first lap through one of the fastest parts of the track, Clark's front stub axle broke which saw him hurtling towards the tyre wall at about 100 mph with his front wheel locked solid.

He was very lucky to walk away with only slight bruising and said after the paramedics had checked him over: "There was nothing I could do, it all happened so quickly, I was just a passenger. It's ruined my weekend where I was well positioned for another two first places".

Clark's car is repairable, but it needs new front and rear wings, left rear and left front corners replaced and a new radiator.

On the positive side for Tadlow-based Clark, he is still leading the 600 Class Championship.
