CHRIS Rule s second place finish in the fourth and final Royston and District Angling Club Evening match was enough to give him the title for 2006. The match was held at Thriplow Reservoir on Friday, with Tony Green winning on the night thanks to a catch

CHRIS Rule's second place finish in the fourth and final Royston and District Angling Club Evening match was enough to give him the title for 2006.

The match was held at Thriplow Reservoir on Friday, with Tony Green winning on the night thanks to a catch 37lbs 7oz.

Rule finished with a catch of 30lbs 10oz, while John King came third with 12lbs 2oz.

Rule comfortably won the title with 53 points, 20 clear of runner-up Ralph Currie, with junior Ryan Jarvis third with 30 points.
