AN undefeated 57 from Richard Brunt and two individual all-round performances from captain Angus Gent and Sam Stoop saw Great Chishill home by six wickets against Cambridge St Giles II in Division 1S of the Junior League.

Stoop and Gent both picked up two wickets in St Giles' innings and Gent went on to add 63 with Brunt, before Stoop hit three huge sixes in an unbeaten 39 to seal the win.

Great Chishill seconds were heading for defeat in their Division 3SB fixture, when the heavens opened and their match was abandoned.

Harlton had set a daunting target of 209, with only Martin Sorrell's pace troubling their top order as he took 2-44.

Andrew Drury hit 30 in Chishill's reply, but the home side were well behind the required rate at 102-6, despite resistance from Sorrell with the bat (16 not out), before the rain set in.
