Great Chishill 4 Cottenham 0 Junior Challenge Cup
GREAT Chishill returned to form with a good win over first division side Cottenham.
Chishill made a great start when Gary Radford sprinted on to a through-ball to apply a cool finish.
Lee Smith made it two inside half an hour with a brilliant solo effort before the visitors’ ‘keeper saved well with his feet from another Radford effort.
Andy Knight was hardly tested in the Chishill goal and the hosts grabbed a third before half time with Elliot Drury playing a neat one-two with Ali Porter before unleashing a 20-yard drive into the roof of the net.
Cottenham enjoyed some more possession in the second half but never looked threatening, with the centre back pairing of James Bennett and Dan Hicks dominating throughout for Chishill.
The rout was sealed in the closing minutes when Cottenham could only half clear Porter’s corner and he followed up to curl the ball into the top corner from the edge of the box.
Chishill: Knight; Kew, Hicks, Bennett, Gardiner; Tidey, Drury, Smith, Miller; Radford, Porter
