GREAT Chishill seconds moved out of the Division 4C relegation zone for the first time this season with a comfortable win over Elmdon seconds.

Batting first, Great Chishill chalked up a massive total of 224 for 6, thanks to contrasting contributions from Guy Musson and Mike Harris.

While Musson stroked his way to a thoroughbred 64, Harris hit Elmdon head-on with a powerful 56.

With Tom Guerrero adding a valuable 36, the hosts registered a more than challenging target.

Great Chishill skipper Terry Manning then proceeded to carve his way through the Elmdon batsmen with an impressive 3 for 8 off 10 overs.

Adam Wright followed his captain's example and took 2 for 6 off 7.5 overs.

It was too much for Elmdon, and they subsided to 81 for 9, leaving Great Chishill with a realistic chance of avoiding the drop to the Cambs League's lowest division.
