KINGSWAY Golf Centre in Melbourn has raised more than £650 for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Funds were raised as a result of the centre's inaugural running of the GOSH Charity Shield event.

Braving strong winds and heavy rain, members took part in a stableford competition, before joining other guests for an auction of unique golf memorabilia.

Club captain, Doug McNaught praised the generosity of club members.

In addition to Great Ormond Street the event also raised more than £1000 for the captain's charities - Cancer Research and the Milton Hospice.
