Chris Chambers saw Buntingford to victory over Hare Street & Hormead, with a fine all-round display.
Chambers hit 39, and then bowled a great spell of 6-4-4-1 to see his side home.
Batting first, Buntingford lost Stuart Lawrence in the first over for a duck, with Phil Church quickly following when he was run out after a mix up with partner Izuru Channa.
Channa reached 11, before he was caught when playing a lazy shot. The visitors' next three batsman all went cheaply, and Buntingford found themselves tottering on 53-6.
Chambers and Martin Coote came together and set about repairing the damage.
They shared a partnership of 59, before Chambers was out for 39 with the score on 112.
Coote continued to play well and helped take the score to 152 before he was caught on the boundary for a fine 45.
Some lusty late-order hitting from Neil Atkins (16 not out), saw Buntingford to 174-9.
In reply, Hormead struggled for early runs and were soon in trouble at 25-3. Clive Newland came to the crease at and he played a great innings of 76 before finally being bowled by Church.
With the other batsman failing to score, Hormead eventually fell 55 runs short and finished on 120-5.
