Leighton Linslade 1
A SOLID second half performance saw Royston Town Ladies take all three points in this league encounter, but once again they had to come from behind to do so.
A sloppy start allowed Leighton to take the lead after just fifteen minutes when their centre forward ran through to slot the ball passed the stranded Clare Draper in goal.
Leighton should have twice added to their score, but a heroic goal line clearance from Leanne Buchannan and an outstanding save from Draper kept the home side in it.
A brilliant long-range effort just before half time by Royston's Emma Chaffey evened things up, and five minutes after the break Buchannan headed home to send the home side into the lead.
A third Royston goal was scored by Marie Miller and Emma Chaffey's second killed the game off.
