Melbourn Dynamos 4 Hitchin Town 3
Under-sevens
MELBOURN sealed a victory against a spirited Hitchin team with a superb piece of individual skill from Louis Chadwick.
A high clearance from the Hitchin goalkeeper was brought under control with just one touch before a brilliant lob from outside the area left the 'keeper stranded and had the Melbourn fans cheering even before it nestled into the net.
The goal won the game for the Dynamos after Chadwick had already got on the scoresheet alongside the fantastic Cameron King (two).
It was a confident display from Melbourn who only let their standards slip towards the end of the game and almost allowed Hitchin to snatch a draw.
Special mentions must be made for the improving Callum Roberts and Nathan Clark as well as Teddy Bridges who, it seemed, covered every blade of grass on pitch.
