IT was a successful season all round for Buntingford Cougars, as teams got among the trophies.

The two under-9 teams had a great season with only two defeats. Both sides have gone from strength to strength and capped a fine year by winning the Buntingford Cougars five-a-side competition.

The Cougars' under-10s did a double by winning their league and the club's five-a-side tournament. Captain Daniel Howard led the team, with Calum Faik, Tyler Woods, and Matthew Coote helping rack up 93 goals.

Over the year the under-11 girls gained confidence and by the end of the campaign had started to play some quality football. The team showed a great depth of skill and claimed some very good wins.

After the disappointment of relegation last year, the under 14s bounced back by finishing fourth in Division 2, and also made a League Cup semi-final appearance.

They will travel to Sweden for the Gothia Cup, which features teams from all over the world.

The under 15s had high hopes, but with a number of injuries finished in seventh place. The club also won their section of the Cougars Tournament.
