ROYSTON Town winger and captain, Luke Robins has signed an improved contract with the club following speculation over his future.
The club "flatly turned down" an official approach by Cambridge City last Wednesday after City earmarked the wide man as a replacement for Scott Neilson who has moved to League Two side Bradford City.
Speaking about the situation, Crows boss Paul Attfield said: "The offer fell well short of Luke's talent and our valuation and after discussions with Luke and the committee we offered Luke an improved contract at the end of the Hoddesdon Town game which he willingly signed.
"A number of clubs have been watching Luke and other players and for the time being Luke is happy to play at Royston Town FC and see what happens in the near future.
