FRANK Calvert won the Men's Saturday Medal at Royston Golf Club last week.

The 10 handicapper recorded a net 67, three strokes under his handicap, to fend off Simon Clark who scored a net 68.

Third place went to Chris Kneafsey who scored 69, just ahead of Peter Prentice who recorded a 70.

The Men's Thursday Medal was won by Gary Merry, who edged out his playing partners Steve Pitman and Steve Board.

Denise Moody continues to shine in the ladies section and she reduced her handicap a further three shots by scoring 40 points in the stableford competition.

Second place went to Val Squires, and she was followed by Gill Drewery and lady captain, Mary Mitchell.

Alastair Horwood and James McKenzie were the clear winners of the Men's Fourball Betterball Stableford on Sunday.

Their 43 points, 24 of which came on the back nine, put them two points clear of four other pairs.

Peter Mitchell and Charlie Winter finished second after scoring 23 points on the back nine.

Third were Nigel Thomas and Nick Leah.

Also scoring 41 points were the pairings of Barrie Parsons and Kevin Bevan, together with Darren Dawson and Keith Cridland.
