Sarah Buckerfield came out on top in a field of Royston Golf Club ladies competing for the Buckerfield Trophy last Saturday.
Buckerfield carded a score of 73, while Sue Dean came a close second just one shot behind.
In the men’s medal on the same day, Trevor Sweeting returned a score of 69 to take first place, with Steve March and Dave Rowell second and third respectively on 71. March took the runner-up spot on countback.
On Sunday, the four ball better ball competition was won by the pairing of Mick Merry and Paul Lewis who scored 41 points between them. Second place, on countback, went to Chris Little and Kevin Bevan who also scored 41 points.
