CHLOE Fisher and Emma Reid led the way with bronze medals as the JM Judo Club competed in an international event at the ExCel Centre in London Docklands. The event, at the site where the London 2012 Olympics judo competition will take place, attracted 1,624 entries from all over the world. After losing her opening bout, Fisher needed a win in her second to keep her hopes alive, and managed it in great style with a maximum 10-point win. She kept her cool, and managed to remain in control of her remaining bouts to win a thoroughly deserved medal. Diminutive dynamo Reid has struck a rich vein of form of late, with final places at many events. She finished with four wins and only one defeat to collect a fourth consecutive medal in international events. She is a current member of the national squad, and although at 11, she will be too young to compete in 2012, she is heavily tipped for future international honours. Other members of JM to compete in the competition were Kristofer Francombe, Ryan Ingrey, Joe Raymen, Neil Smith, Rebecca Bayliss, Kellie Lucken and Charlotte Raymen, with Bayliss desperately unlucky not to make it a hat-trick of bronzes for JM.
