Bourn victorious against Colts

Bassingbourn U12s 3 Bishop’s Stortford Colts U12s 2

Bassingbourn U12s edged past Bishop’s Stortford Colts to win 3-2.

Stortford took the lead with a powerful shot that left Bourn ‘keeper John Dix with no chance. Bourn pulled one back when the ‘keeper was unable to keep out a low shot from Matt Tiffin. The second half began with Bourn getting on top and they duly took the lead when a corner from Max Logan fell to Cameron MacGillivray on the edge of the box and his shot went in off the post. Tom Harrington got Bourn’s third and his first of the season putting in a rebound. Stortford pulled one back to set up a tense finish, however, the Bourn defence, with Cameron Lee in particular looking strong, held firm to give Bourn a well deserved win.
