Bassingbourn U11s won their third game in four outings so far this season with a 7-0 victory over Potton Colts.
The game started at a sparkling pace and Jonah Stekly opened the scoring with 10 minutes on the clock. This was shortly followed by Fin Burchett adding a second before George French sent a shot over the ‘keeper to make it 3-0 to the visitors.
The second half started with the home team taking the game to Bassingbourn but once again bourn’s defence held firm. With a quarter of the game to go Burchett was set up unselfishly by French to score his second before Stekly scored his second to make it 5-0. Burchett got his hat-trick with a superb free-kick before Stekly wrapped things up with the seventh to complete his own hat-trick.
