THE opening event of the East Anglia BMX 2010 summer calendar, the Spring Classic was hosted by the Royston Rockets BMX Racing Club last Sunday.

The racing attracted over 110 riders from across the region competing in 26 available classes from the Under 6s to the over 45s in what was an exciting afternoon.

Ella Tomsett won the Female seven to eight year-old class and Helen Nicholl came second in the Female over 25s Cruiser Class.

Charlie Todd came third in the under-6 class while Cameron Knight won the seven-year-old class ahead of Will Frascoe.

Ten-year-old Daniel Blanche won his race as did Aaron Dalleywater in the 11-year-old category.
