AFTER last week's opening day victory over Bassingbourn, Biggleswade United under-eights were brought back down to earth having been comfortably beaten over the two games by Clifton.

The first match was won 2-0 with both goals coming from Clifton's number seven and the score could have been worse but for a number of great saves by goalkeeper Lee Kendall.

The second game continued in the same vein as Clifton scored three goals in the first half.

The second half, however, was far more even with Biggleswade having a couple of chances narrowly going wide before Clifton completed the scoring in the last minute of the match.

The boys and girls kept on going despite the score showing great heart and determination whilst continuing to enjoy themselves.
