CHISHILL managed to grab three points in this midweek fixture, despite putting in a performance that was far from their best.
Although they started brightly, the hosts soon fell behind to an excellent volley from 20 yards.
However, they managed to battle back, when Steve McGee broke free down the left wing, and despite the keeper blocking his first effort, he managed to scramble home the rebound.

Chishill had to endure a difficult second half, as they failed to get their passing game going, and a strong Ashdon side bombarded their defence, but rarely managed to hit a quality shot on target.
Jonathan Drury could have made it 3-1, but shot into the side netting, before Jonathan Hodge did find the target, following up after Elliot Drury's shot was parried.
The visitors pulled one back and could have equalised in the last minute, but their striker shot wide from six yards out, and Chishill held on for the win.

Foxton Reserves 2 Great Chishill 4
DIVISION Three strugglers Great Chishill reached the last four of the Foster Cup, producing their best performance of the season against Division Two side Foxton Reserves.
Despite looking strong in the opening minutes, they fell behind early on to a soft goal, Foxton breaking away after intercepting a pass in midfield.
This did not seem to affect Chishill as they continued to play the better football.
They were soon back on level terms, after Gareth Edey beat three defenders as he cut in from the left, and shot inside the near post.
The visitors were the better side for the remainder of the first half, and went in at the break confident they could cause an upset.
In the second half, Chishill were looking comfortable in defence, and in attack continued to cause problems, with Edey and Jonathan Hodge providing excellent support to the forward line.
Foxton edged back into the lead though, stabbing in from a long throw, and the game looked to be slipping away from Chishill, especially after the keeper saved well at the feet of Jonathan Drury.
In the last 15 minutes the game turned as Chishill laid siege to the hosts' goal.
Foxton could only half clear a free-kick, Hodge volleyed the ball back into the area over his head, and Edey headed home from close range.
The match looked destined for extra-time, but minutes later, McGee sparked wild celebrations as he put the visitors ahead, turning his marker before firing into the bottom corner.
Chishill then put the icing on the cake, as Edey completed a fine hat-trick, with an overhead volley that sailed over the keeper's head.
Foxton looked stunned, Chishill look forward to the semi-finals.
