PHIL Snowden believes Royston will head into Saturday's FA Vase game with confidence.

On the back of two wins, the Crows face Bedfont of the Combined Counties League in the second qualifying round for what will be another tough test.

The Middlesex-based club are seventh in their league, one point ahead of North Greenford, who knocked Royston out of the FA Cup 5-1.

Snowden said: "Bedfont are going to be a hard team to beat - we know that. They play in a good league and from what I've seen of them in the past it will be a tough game.

"I think that they will be better than North Greenford. They beat us quite comfortably, but the team that will start on Saturday will be totally different from the one we had out in the FA Cup. We're a lot stronger now."

Snowden will be starting with the same team from the win against Buckingham, and insisted that it was only fair.

He said: "They've done a good job and have every right to start the match. The team is looking more confident and I think that stability is the key.

"They've built up a good spirit in recent weeks."

However, Snowden will have tough-tackling defender Allan Reid to call upon, with son and club captain Stuart hopefully included among the substitutes.

New signing, Nicky Morgan is also set to feature, with the left-winger being brought in to add some pace down the flanks.

"He'll probably come on at some point and he's a player that will give us a new option. He's a good signing - a player that likes to entertain and attack his full-back. I've no doubt that he will do well," said Snowden.

"All I can ask is that our players compete and give 100 per cent. Confidence comes from playing well and winning games and I think that we have that.
