MATTHEW Baxter won the Members Cup on Saturday at Bassingbourn Golf Club.
He finished with 37 Stableford points on a very challenging, windy day. He beat the blustery conditions, and the course, demonstrating his skill in playing to his nine-handicap. He is pictured here with competitions secretary, Richard Jones.
Jay Mercer (34 points) and Sydney Winter (32) followed in second and third place respectively.
Club captain, Mike Bygate, was delighted with yet another high turnout for the event. Members seem to appreciate the course improvements as the efforts in managing the course maintenance directly by members is starting to pay dividends.
